. @CrappyTires Statement: To The Bay Area Rapid Transit & The Internet,

My name is Caleb Spilchen, I am an marketer from Canada, and a journalist. Since, the beginning of August, I have supported the #OpBart protests, the #NoFare Protests, organized by Anonymous & No Justice No BART. I have spoken with people who were involved in the planning of both protests on occasion.

I have also spoken with you, through your spokesperson, Jim Allison. 

What I learned from this research, and from these discussions… Is well, Frightening. The picture that emerges of you BART, is a picture of a transit system, that has a police force that is irresponsible, that has a police force filled with problems.

You did not need to m.u.r.d.e.r Charles Hill, Oscar Grant. Yet, you did. 

You did not need to cut off cell phones for a protest. Yet, you did.

You did not need to detain students & journalists. Yet, You did.

You did not need to knock over Journalism Students. Yet, you did.

You have continued, time and time again, to show that the BART police have not changed… They will never change. They are still a police force filled with UNTRAINED individuals, who have way too much weaponry, that they are not even trained to use.

You have a group of police officers, that are as cocky, as the Captain of the high school hockey team… If you say anything they don’t like, they pull out their guns to intimidate you.

You cannot intimidate an idea.

And… The biggest thing, BART. Your spokesman, told me… An independent member of internet media, that in order to use your first amendment rights, you need a permit. Jim, I have never heard of anyone needing a permit, to USE their RIGHTS as a citizen.

You do not have a right, to take our constitutional rights away. You can never say we didn’t try to get your side of the story, I have spoken with you, myself. I have spoken with your spokesperson. I know what your opinions are.

No Justice. No Peace. Disband The BART Police.

To The San Francisco Press and Authority:

We are Anonymous, We have grown tiresome from watching BART Police Departments behavior in the recent protest.  We have stated that we have come in peace, we have proven we care about the safety of all the passengers.  You continue to show you us that you are willing to use unconstitutional and unethical methods of stopping protests, including getting physically aggressive with student journalists.  You have abused the media, abused us and the people who protest with us.  You have used every agency you can including the Department of Homeland Security merely for a peaceful protest, you had obviously planned military style tactical arrest for a peaceful protest.  We are tired of watching this continue and it is time to be held accountable for your actions.  It is our right to protest, you have stated we can stay outside of the fare gates and so we did, and yet you still arrest protesters.  Now our DEMANDS have changed in spite of the recent dictator like tactics BART has proven to posses. 

NEW DEMANDS:

1. We want the BART PD DISBANDED completely.  BART has no reason to have a police “force” at all, HIRE flashlight security if you please.

2. We still WANT a public apology for the shutting down of the Cell Service.

3. Reopen the investigation to the killing of Charles Hill.

4. Fire Linton Johnson and BART Chief Kenton Rainey.

These are our new demands, and we will protest every MONDAY at 5Pm until our demands are met.  We will not be scared into ceasing our protest.  We will expose everything ion our power to expose everything you do wrong WE are watching.
